The Pup City Puppy Daycare Advantage

We understand the feeling; there is a certain hesitancy to leaving your young furry friend at a daycare for the first time. Trust us; you have nothing to worry about! As passionate dog lovers and trainers, we will slowly integrate your puppy at our facility, making them feel comfortable and completely at ease. By separating our dogs into playgroups based on their size, personality and temperament, your puppy will only be socializing and having fun with like-minded dogs while developing positive behaviours and engaging in enriching activities – thanks to our trainers. When Can I Take My Puppy To The Dog Park?

When your puppy has had all their vaccinations (yes, they get them too), and has been trained well enough to respond to your commands and social interactions, then you can take them to the park. In most cases, that is usually the 16-week mark.

When Should I Spay or Neuter My Puppy?

For small dogs, they should be neutered or spayed between six to 12 months of age. Larger dogs should be neutered or spayed between nine to 18 months of age. Consult your vet beforehand to determine the best time to get your puppy fixed.

How Big Will My Puppy Get?

It depends on the breed of your dog. Some dogs, like Great Danes, can weigh as much as 100 pounds, while Pomeranians grow as tall as 12 inches and can weigh up to 7 pounds.

How Much Does My Puppy Need To Eat?

It all depends on the size and breed of your puppy. Gauge how often they eat and if they require more or less. Over time, you’ll be able to understand their eating habits. Make sure to feed them healthy and nutritional dog food only.

Can I Feed My Puppy Human Food?

It’s best to avoid all types of human food for your growing puppy. Not only is it toxic and unhealthy for dogs, but they won’t get the nutrition they need for their growing bodies that they’ll usually get from dog food.

Should I Get Pet Insurance?

Yes, you should! It’s been proven that owners with pet insurance tend to use it more as they have coverage for it. Ultimately, it's in the best interest of your pup to provide them with the medical support they need when they need it!
